The Challange
Food systems today face growing and interconnected challenges that affect health, livelihoods, and the environment. In many communities, access to nutritious, affordable, and sustainably produced food remains limited, while food insecurity continues to rise—especially among vulnerable groups such as children, low-income households, and people with disabilities.
What we do?
Food Crate Ghana works to transform food systems so they deliver healthy, affordable, and sustainable food for all. We combine community action, research, advocacy, and partnerships to create practical solutions that improve nutrition and food security.
We advocate for food systems that are publicly accountable, environmentally responsible, and designed to protect human health. Our campaigns challenge harmful practices and promote better ways of producing, distributing, and consuming food.
By assessing food availability and affordability, we work to ensure communities—especially vulnerable groups—can access nutritious food in a sustainable way.
Communities are central to our work. We ensure our actions are informed by lived experiences and empower citizens to become agents of change within their own communities.
